Written by Odious Love is a self taught producer out of Montreal. Discovered by multi platinum producer / songwriter Glenn Morrison, Odious Love has since been mentored by Glenn on his upcoming releases as well as his solo career. Although his love is for EDM, he is capable of producing any type of genre, and has released an EP to showcase his own unique sound. His talent has also been recognized by multi award winning hip hop artist, Imposs (Muzion, Wyclef Jean, Will.I.am) and has landed him a spot on 6 tracks out of 12 on Imposs’s upcoming album, set to be released by one of the biggest labels in his city, Joyride Records (Loud, Rymz).
His first major single is set to be released August – September of 2019, Featuring award winning songwriter, Lukay (Karl Wolf -Yallah Habibi) and a huge UK prospect, Molly L.
When it comes to atmosphere, ambience and enchanting production value, Odious Love‘s self-titled EP does absolute justice.
Each and every song is crafted to its perfection. This producer’s solo project goes beyond the realm of the average record release, and really puts his heart and soul into making the mixing board his sanctuary.
One highlight from this EP that must be mentioned is the single/music video for the track “If It’s Love,” a melodic journey into musical and visual bliss that showcases two dancers that represent the song’s overall content, with their movements telling the story. Although the video was made to be up for interpretation, when we asked Odious Love what it was about, he replied: “When you fight through the darkness, there is this little thing inside of us that comes out and helps us recover and get through whatever it is we are going through. Sometimes we pay attention to it, and it helps and sometimes we don’t even notice it is there. But when it is not there at all, it is lonely. Dark. And scary.”
Every track of this EP is an exercise of different angles from the same producer. There is a lot of life and spirit breathed into these songs and this EP really reflects how versatile and dynamic Odious Love really is.
