Laray Da Savage is a young artist in Houston that is starting to create quite the buzz around Houston. This 18-year-old has been showing a strong work ethic and passion for not only his music but his city. Single releases on SoundCloud and dropping mixtapes such as “Story of My life” & “Note to Self” show off his versatility. There is no doubt he is beginning to draw connections between the community, with the hope to tell the stories of Houston. Similar to all young black men growing up in America’s inner cities Da Savage is Submerged into a life of gang violence, often losing close friends to the mishaps of a broken society. “street life don’t love nobody” Laray explains in his hit single.
Being an upcoming artist out of Houston’s Third Ward, Da Savage puts a very unique soul/trap/Savage melody into his sound making it relatable to all demographics. He turns to music to shed the light of the city often bringing “Only My Brothers” as the brand of importance to discipline the neighborhood. In a recent interview Da Savage said, “It’s been an honor getting to work with June James”.
The buzz continues to grow reaching a best of 700k listen on SoundCloud however, Da Savage is nowhere close to satisfied and excited for what’s coming. Early 2018 he released a project with hit producer June James the Genius called “Beat the Odds” this is the start all the fire to be released in 2018.
