“No Be Mouth” is a Nigerian slang that simply means “not bragging”, or “No Cap” as many young Americans today may know it. The song sees Tunji and JTK reflecting on their homeland and what it would feel like to go back to their childhood city in Lagos to flex their clout and stunt after spending years in diaspora making names for themselves, and they mean that. Hence, “No Be Mouth”.
The song’s also for anyone who has been far away from home, currently is or will be in the future, to use as a memorandum for exploring their beloved home town/city and also reflecting on the good times they’ve spent there. The important message JTK wants people to take from it is to be tourists in their own city/town while they can.
