Written by Winner of the 2020 New Mexico Music Award for Best Modern Rock song, Devil’s Kiss is Jamie M. Harrison’s 3rd single release on the 829 Records label. Devil’s Kiss weaves an engaging tale of the exciting and exhilarating, yet dark and dangerous sides of love, propelled by an eclectic mixture of modern and classic rock, pop, Americana, and country.
Originally from the Chicago area and currently living in New Mexico, Harrison began piano studies at the age of 3 with his dad, Chicago punk/new wave Godfather Skafish. Since, Harrison has become an accomplished singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer.
In addition to his burgeoning solo career, Harrison has played with 13 time Grammy Award winner T Bone Burnett, bassist Nathan East (Eric Clapton, Barbra Streisand), hit country songwriter and performer George Ducas, guitarist and Grammy Award winner Larry Mitchell (Tracy Chapman, Billy Squier, Ric Ocasek), as well as Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges.
In addition to performing the vocal and guitar tracks for Devil’s Kiss, Harrison also wrote, arranged, and produced the track. He was joined by former Sister Sledge and Sophie B. Hawkins drummer Richard Reed, originally from Chicago, and bassist Guy Lagerway, a native of New York.
