Francisco Javier De Los Santos, better known by his stage name Frankie Derance, is a Mexican American rapper, songwriter and actor who was born an entrepreneur and his multifaceted career is shaping up to be nothing short of iconic. The twenty-two-year-old rapper has achieved a lot in such a short period of time, including winner of 2016 iHeart Radio and Home Turf Contest with the most votes. He later went on to be featured on 106 KMEL, giving him the opportunity to be aired on the radio that later would jump start his career as a solo artist. Today Frankie Derance celebrates the mark of his debut after taking a long hiatus with the release of his first ever single “Díme” bringing home a fresh new sound to the table. He mentioned “Díme was a record i been holding back on since 2017 but recently recorded it the beginning of the year. It was inspired by these 2 pop records that were big at the time, the way they were formatted i wanted to make my own version in the same format in a Latin Hip Hop record that has never been done before.” He also spoke about the American industry not having to many Mexican American artist besides the Latin industry. He told us “The last time we ever had a global artist representing us was Selena.” “Their are so many raw talented Mexican American artist out their but they don’t get the exposure or recognition they deserve, even the OGs in the game.” Though Selena was the first Mexican American artist to hit the global market their still till this day hasn’t been a male artist to top that same rank, he said “One Day.”
