“Ô Ginga!” is a song recorded by Canadian-Cameroonian artist Angee Wings, published on April 2020 by PlumOdisQ Label. The song was written by Angee Wings herself with the collaboration of Etienne Tremblay (La Machine à Mixer Studios) for the production process. “Ô Ginga!” is an afrobeats rap song made up with a mix of up-tempo raw percussion elements in its composition. It features rap-singing vocals by Angee Wings.
On May 10, 2020 a music video for the song was released on Angee Wings’ official YouTube account. The clip was an assembly of about ten home-made visuals with several high-reputated Canadian afro dancers, including Angee Wings herself, moving at various locations in Montreal (Quebec) during the quarantine of COVID-19 on March 15, 2020. It starts with some of them cleaning their spots; to quickly seeing them performing an Afro-fusion style choreography signed Cherylle Shyne all along the video. The clip finishes with Angee Wings and the dancers looking like they’re having fun all over the place by remaining safely at home. At last, at the end of the video we can read the message #️⃣ OGINGA and right under #️⃣ SAFEATHOME : reminding the necessity of staying at home to stop the COVID-19 pandemic.
