The video starts off with Amira somehow coming to the assumption that her longtime boyfriend has been cheating on her. She is devastated, so she places a call to a friend to vent, but before she’s given any valid advice, she disconnects the call. This is when the singing starts and Amira’s anguish is fully showcased to the audience.
‘Mathematics’ is an R&B track that anyone who has experienced heartbreak and/or infidelity, on any level, can relate to. Throughout the whole 4 minutes and 14 seconds, Amira goes from wanting her lover to accept her to finally realizing that their situation wasn’t where she really wanted to be.
‘Mathematics’ is sung with such passion that Amira is able to pull you in with her soulful voice. Truly, an artist to be reckoned with, Amira has the talent to go far in the music industry.
