Written by Melanin Like Glitter is an under 2-minute experience that celebrates black women and sheds light on the magic of melanin. The music video was shot at the iconic Lac Rose in Dakar, Senegal. New recording artist Aïcha is a Senegalese-American bilingual rapper, singer-songwriter, and spoken word poet. The pink lake and snow-like salt dunes are brought to life by renowned Senegalese director Abdoulaye Ndao. Her grandmother and women from her family are featured at the end of the video.
